I got my stuff off e-bay as well. Took 10 mins to throw it on. No AC for me either. And you dont have to extend the wires, just pull 'em back through the loom to the other side.

Ok so I finished gettin the new control arms and bag brackets on the front, pretty much finished with that.. ill post pics tomorrow, , onto the tranny cross member,, so ive got the cando x member. . Problem im having is, I didnt drop my motor mounts, so after the Z my tranny is obviously on an angle which sets my driveline to tranny pinion off right? Correct me if im wrong on that... but how do I get the pinion angle back to where it should be?? Is there a way to do this without dropping the motor mounts? My driveline is straight but the tranny is angled down a lil.. I can post a pic tomorrow my phone is to dead for the flash to work.. any help is greatly appreciated. . I just wanna get this done and onto the next part of my build.. thanks

Haha.. I kno.. I just didnt wanna drop the motor mounts if I didnt have to haha.. k I kno I asked u once before.. I cut the motor mounts, slide the motor down 1" weld em back together, then just add triangle pieces to fill the sections right? I cant remember if u said u welded side plates on or not.. also after looking at it. . Theres 3/4" between my engine x member and oil pan.. so ill have to cut and section the x member to get the 1" correct? And one more haha.. is there a certain degree I should have the tranny at? Are they set at zero degrees

Yes, just make sure when you cut the mount, you slice at a right angle to the engine crossmember, so when you drop the engine down, it doesnt angle one way or the other.

It is 3/4" between the pan and engine, you cut the lip off that crossmember like I described and it will give you the extra room to clear the 1" drop

It would have been beneficial to measure the angle of your driveline before you replaced the trans member, mine points down 3 degrees.

Ok. Yea if I have the tranny jacked up I can get it to 4-5 degrees down.. so when I cut the motor mount I wanna cut at a right andle instead of straight down?

So heres the driveline tranny angle.. does this look like the tranny is pointing down to much? The rear end is jacked up to roughly bout ride height. .

Id say thats about 8-10 degrees down. So, if this your ride height, your rear end will need to point UP 8-10 degrees, so the U Joints will cancel the angles out. But if you lift higher than ride height, your link setup will make that pinion angle go up as well towards ~10+ degrees. The idea is for a perfectly etup 4 link to keep pinion angle change as low as possible.

Mine changes 1 degree over 10" of travel.

So I checked it. The tranny is pointing down 4 degrees, and I adjusted my link bar so the axle is pointing up 2 degrees.. is that bad or do I need to get them closer? I just dont have a engine hoist so im not sure bout being able to lower the motor mounts

    Yes get them to match.

Dont need a hoist. Just a jack and a piece of wood under the oil pan.

That means that if I were to do a swap later the engine/tranny would have to oppose each other or I would have to redo the rear angle... Gees... I may rethink my swap or measure the engine I will be swapping in to try to match the height with my current angles... :doah:
