Looks good. What if you blacked out the screws holding on the lip. Think it would look more steath.

No changes to the truck, but I found a chinook at the everett walmart and had to get some parking lot shots. I'm not sure the thing was empty inside. It is a scummy looking old RV in a crappy part of town at almost midnight lol. Either way, I ****in want it! Its not even a stretched wheelbase rig, it matched my 110" longbed. Enjoy the pics ****ers :D

Optical compression makes the truck in the background appear shorter, but this shot was to show people what a lowered chinook would look like. *Hint hint HENRY* lol

I know of a handful around the county. Not for sale. There are lots if you count the later body style cabs. I just love the 78 suspension so much I won't go back to a torsion bar truck.

Anyways I have been tinkering with the truck plenty lately. I try to do something every other day to keep the progress up. Today I swapped back to the Mighty Max coils, the hiluxs lifted me 1/2". I also polished the bed and tailgate to match the cab. I made some mounts to stick my bmx bike on the roof rack. Few other small changes too. I will get more pics up this weekend or tomorrow.

I just ordered some purple tuner lug nuts on ebay. 12x1.5mm, 34mm long, splined style, steel not aluminum, $28 shipped for 20 lugs. I have chrome acorns but they are flaking. Couldn't decide between purple and that neochrome stuff...the gold/green/blue/purple finish. Saw tons of honda dress up stuff while I was trying to find them. It gave me lots of ideas for how to clean up under the hood of my truck. I don't buy that crap, I make it :D

I ordered a 10k HID kit today too. Its a dual beam kit, so high/low beam. Not sure how well it will work, we shall see. For $35 shipped with a 2 year warranty I risked it. Plus its money I made from selling little truck parts on the site so its sort of like free money to me haha

what brand of HID? I bought a bunch of Xentec HID kits for my trucks and friends cars, super happy with it!

haha super funny, I had the same situation as you, had chrome then it flaked, bought purple but got over it, then NEO-CHROME!!! had a set of Muteki nee-chrome on my 94 pickup, they are super SICK!

Screw 4x4s. I hate how people call a 79-83 a first gen and mix everything all up. I mean a 67-72 truck. Gonna finish my interior and off it.

same here...a 1st gen 4x4 is WAY diff than a 1st gen 2wd. All they gotta do is get it straight if they have a 4x4 or 2wd. i have a 80' 4x4 as my beach/dd/crawler truck...out in hawaii its crucial to have a 4x4 for some weekend fun, hitting those secret surf spots, or going up in the mountain for some cliff diving and hunting!

that's cool!!! that's what I thought you meant!!! I feel the same about 4x4's too!! but you can't corner fast in a 4x4 or have fun auto crossing it either unless you want to roll it!!!

Tomorrow expect a big update in the late evening. I am going to finish fiberglassing and finishing my console. Then wrapping it in the black vinyl. May cover the door panels if there is enough vinyl left. Need to finish it so I can sell it. Really wanna get a different truck and a welder.

I have already owned a 5th gen, a 4th gen and this 2nd gen. Also had a 2nd gen supra. Really want a 1st gen hilux though. I was thinking about trading this truck for a miata. There are a few on craigslist with turbos that people are looking to trade for something cool and low. Could probably work a deal. Still playing with ideas.

And there won't be any console work tonight, I don't have all my materials here. Anyways, keep an eye out on this one.
