What are the advantages of keeping the Resonator in the truck ?

I saw some guys take them off ..

What are the pros and cons to the resonator.

    Is this the Resonator ?

uh, that's for the PAIR system, it reduces the pulses in the PAIR system to not being pulses in the airbox for noise and to keep them from affecting the engine intake air.

22REs don't have any intake resonators.

Removing the PAIR system won't affect engine operation but will affect cold start emissions.

We dont have emissions here in South Florida but if it manages to not pollute the air then i will put it back..

    thanks for the response

In and of itself, the PAIR system doesn't help overall emissions. It's there to get extra oxygen in the exhaust on cold start, along with the engine running stupid rich at startup it makes the cat warm up faster. warm cat=working cat=lower emissions.

Yea you really don't need it after ten minutes or so the cat is taking over the emissions .. That short time on start up isn't really putting a hole in the ozone .
