The site says its $5 entry the day of. It also says to bring a BBQ. I will bring one with if anybody wants. We can do the cookout right in the truck bed, use my roofrack as a prep table. I called my cousin, he is bringing the 74 he just bought today. He sold his 78 to a friend, who will bring it out too. I need to talk to curtisz and a few other guys. Sho, 77yoter, codyX, henry, all you other guys...I hope you can make it out. 9am meet at the 228th and Bothell Everett Highway Albertsons Grocery store. Then we can cruise a mile down the road to country village where the Old School Show is. I would love a huge toyota presence there. It would really make my month better
I didn't know the Albertsons was that close, in that case, sure I might go to the pre meet. My brother might wanted to come to the show, JUST TO CHECK IT OUT, haha he has a newer TSX but like I said he's just there to watch and check out all the cars so maybe he can follow all the trucks then park in visitor parking or wherever. I've never been up to this place for a show before. Edit, I see that Albertsons is right off 405 too, so that might work great.
I should have mentioned that the premeet hilux cruise AND the old school reunion show are less than 5 minutes from 405. That may help lots of people. Probably why the bigger show chose the area too. I personally don't mind some new stuff rolling with. I cruise with and park by all sorts of stuff. My parking lot finds thread should be proof of that lol. Speaking of which, I need to go update that too lol
Talked with one of the organizers... Should have no problem getting in with a car/truck, per-reg gets you through the entry line faster. Might fill up by 11-noon so show up early. And I'm gonna take the celica, just finished wrenching on it and wanna drive it, plus it turns my woman on
I will be there for sure. Looks like sho will be. My cousin and his buddy are bringing 2nd gen luxs. I think miagy671 is bringing his 71 hilux. curtisz said he will bring his vw scirocco. it should be fun. I told my boss to make sure i have sunday off. Means i had to close tonight til 11, and back there at 6am tomorrow.
Its tomorrow guys! Hope everybody is ready for a fun cruise and a fat car show. Bring a cooler and some lawn chairs, we may be there all day. Bring a bbq. Bring the family. Bring friends with other rigs. I have been looking forward to this for months. I will have my big digital camera, and maybe rock one of my 35mm's from the 60s.
I just talked to Sho, ill stop by there tomorrow morning as well. My truck is down to bare frame right now so I wont be able to drive that But I will be there
I figured it might be too much drive for you. The premeet was just me, shonuff and codyx36. They have some badass little trucks though. I ended up leaving the big show about noon to go help my cousin and our buddy jordan. Got a new alternator in jordans 78 and a new electric fuel pump in blaydes 74. Then we went mobbin around 3 deep lol. I got tons of pics at the show. I will edit and upload them tomorrow. I gotta work at 5am tomorrow morning, gotta hit the sack soon. Then sleep
Okay here are a few pics. Will upload the rest tomorrow. #1 is a tradition I have. Get a pic of one cool truck from another. Shonuff got one of me years ago, later in the day my cousin got a few of us cruising. #2 is a shot of me, shonuff and codyx36's trucks at the old school show #3 is of the back of mine and cody's, thought it looked cool with the mud flaps and collector plates #4 is my favorite domestic. Its a mid 70s Dodge Colt. Built my mitsubishi during the DSM days. Pretty awesome little car. #5 is the two hiluxs I got fixed after the shows. Even though they are stock height, its such a blast to cruise around.
Pics Solid rides wish I could of made it my ball joint came in yesterday and installed it but I'm thinking of just downing my truck so I can finish more of the little things and I'm checking my best friend ebay to order more goddies lol
You should just sell it to me. I really want a first gen. I've wanted one for years. Seeing one in person today drove that nail home.
