I finally bought up my first Toyota Pickup. Since I needed the truck for work it was only right for me that it be an Ex-Cab. I bought it on December 24, 2012 and this is what it looks like as of now...

All of the mechanical issues were fixed before any cosmetics began. It doesn't do me any good if it looks nice but doesn't function. Here are pictures of what has gone down within the past few months.

The truck was primered white when I got it and like the rest of the cars in Hawaii rust was an issue.

Being that I'm trying to keep this build at a minimum cost, I did what I could on my own to prep for paint. The body work isn't perfect, but it is a work truck and I couldn't have it down for long. I also added a 94 4 Runner Bumper before paint.

    Back from paint. Supra White.
(My brother has a single cab pickup of his own as seen in the back)

With a new look I decided to finally got to put the LED Tail Lights on.

The engine bay was a bit dirty with over spray, so I did my best to clean it up.

I had an exhaust leak (due to headers), so I replaced the headers with OBX Headers.

To drop the truck I bought 2" Belltech Spindles, adjusted torsion, and my brother had an extra set of 4" Drop Blocks (no pic). I also made custom low pro bump stops.

I put in AC Delco Adjustable Air Shocks to help with load I carry along with an Air Lift Controller Kit.

Minor detail. New headlights. Painted around the headlights along with the grill, and emblem black.

Just so my wife would be a little more comfortable riding with me, I cleaned up the seats.

Peyton Wood Grain Steering Wheel from my 85 Corolla with a Custom fitted Junction Produce Table from a GS300 (I got it super cheap, plus my wife likes it).

Man, that is a really beautiful, clean truck.

    Also, love the table!

How are the obx headers holding up? Been thinking about buying them.

Still looking good. For the price I paid, it's in better shape than my brother's Pacesetter Headers. The specs are similar to the LCE headers, so I gave it a try.

Hahaha...it's a WORK truck because it's got WORK rims!! Super jelly cuz they look good as a mofo. I hate to ask (know I don't) but can you whore this thread up with you and your brother's truck? I'm in love with both of them. "White Toys on Works." Steal that as a title.

Nice to see you caught the "Work Truck" meaning. Here's my brother's thread http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/build-up-project-threads-25/all-starts-toy-12193/. It hasn't been updated recently though. If you look at his build you'll notice the wheels on his truck are on mines now and he's currently using the set I bought (in the photo). The Silver Work Meisters are 18's and the white ones are 17's.

Thanks. I've always owned and been in the Old School Toyota Corolla scene here, but have never bought a truck because the prices here are crazy. The way my younger brother built his truck was kind of the way I would have wanted to do mines. Just more practical for my use of work. The hood spacers I think are 1/2" Tube Spacers with longer bolts with washers. It closes just fine with it on. I've seen some universal ones on Ebay for $20, but a local hardware store is cheaper. The cup holder is usually called a "VIP Table" typically seen in those big bodied luxury cars. Googled it and you'll see.

I was pretty sure I recognized his next to yours. When I first opened the thread I actually thought yours WAS his until I saw the cab. You answered my question of who that truck belongs to. On my Introduction thread I give him a shout out since I want to build something in similar taste. I might have two trucks to stalk now LOL. Look forward to any and all progress. :waytogo:

Tell your brother to step in and update us. I can never have enough pics of trucks on his caliber.
