Working on welding the lower gusset to the lower tube that the LCA mounts to. Was wondering how far out anyone else put it. The way they come trimmed the fit pretty close to the rear of it, but zI thought that it should go farther to the rear for support... Although it doesent clear the LCA there. Any help is appreciated. Here are a couple pix of what I'm talking about:
The idea is to provide the most support, the further out the more support. Check this out... Photos from Steve Nielsen (CanDo INSTALLS) on Myspace This is what I am basing my install on...
P.S. I would clearance the arm on the right side were it is about to hit, definitely not the gusset. I have not even looked at that on my arms. Now I have to go look...
It doesent even come close to clearing on the outter part. And you'll have to cut up the bracket if you want to go farther out as well. Anyone on here already done this?
I think they designed that with some extra meat because of the minor differences in all of the frames.
