The time is finally here...Fresh from Arizona by way of Arkansas, now residing in Kentucky.... 1987 Toyota Xtra-Cab Long bed 22R Pretty much stock.... current Details: Weber 38mm Hedman Header De-Smogged Stay tuned for the play by play.....Pix to follow.....
Pay no attention of the date stamp on the pics....I evidently neglected to reset the date! Planned Build: New Exhaust Replace timing cover seals Replace timing chain tensioner and guides Static Drop (old school) New wheels and tires Fiberglass dash SR5 instrument cluster (depends on availability) 1989 or later exterior door handles new carpet Re-cover seat Build new door panels (fiberglass) and of course the body work and paint.....along with whatever I can come up with as it progresses!
actually that's my Satellite antenna, I couldn't find my magnetic one....But the radar detector would make a more entertaining story!!
Thanks! approximately4" front, twisted the torsion bars, 3" blocks in back...Rides good, slight stiffness in the front, but the A arm bushings are shot as are the shocks, going to try a pair of 1975 Pinto shocks up front, word is they collapse more than the stock ones.
Updates to the project stripped interior Killing some noise Fresh carpet Original interior and red LED's in the cluster almost forgot, working on polishing the radiator Also installed power door lock actuators, old school Viper going in....
UPDATE: Truck has been sold back to previous owner...Just had an '86 standard cab delivered from Arizona, new build thread coming shortly....
