Well, I haven't been on the site much for a year or so. I had an 84 toyota 2wd for a winter truck, just sold it. Used the money to get my 78 out of hibernation. Lots of you are probably familiar with it. Longbed truck, original orange paint, 2" ground clearance, 22/20 combo, ect. Well its all back on the road and driving. I have lots of work to do on small projects and repairs but it will all be done in the next couple weeks. Heres a rundown for those who don't want to read 45 pages of old stuff.

    1978 Hilux longbed
    lowered about 8"
    rolled/flared fender lips
    JDM front marker lights
    H4 headlights
    VW bug mirror
    stock rims and mud flaps
    few other small changes outside
    77 Corolla bucket seats
center console built from heavily modded 98 s10 console
    shortened celica shifter arm
    grant steering wheel
dash covered in white face gauges where stereo was
22RE engine block .020" over with dome top pistons
20R cyl head with 1mm oversized valves and mild port work
ported and gasket matched intake manifold and carb adapter
weber 32/36 with choke horns cut off, bigger jets, ect
pace setter 1-5/8" 4-1 header with 2-1/2" exhaust thru chambered muffler
side exit exhaust in front of driver rear tire
various ignition parts from MSD, Taylor, NGK and Accel
W52 trans from older celica, stock type clutch
4.10 rear end in 8" G code housing
about 140k miles on truck, i got with 81k

thats about all the basics i can think of. ill post new photos unless somebody can find my links. havent cracked into my photobucket yet, not sure i have its password anymore lol. any questions just ask.

Mighty max drop springs vs stock hilux. Puts me real low. I have no bump stops as stock shocks.

Got it washed today. Wax it up tomorrow. Snapped a photo in Seattle the other night at a lot I usually park at. Ill try to get some new videos this weekend. On ramp pulls, quick shifts, maybe some slidey stuff if I find the right place.

I've run choke horn less and it makes a big improvement. Usually need bigger jets. Much better mid range and response.

I have been taking a lot of videos lately. Day and night footage. Going to compile them into some sort of video feature and ill post a link. There will probably be some screen shot pics and short clips I end up liking too. I have a bunch of new pics too. Ill update this page heavily tonigh or tomorrow. Probably change the main thread title to something shorter too.
