has anyone used the drop spindles from the suspension source ?? they are on ebay for $184 delivered. i saw some posts on chassis techs and belltech. if there is that big of difference i will gladly drop the other $90 for bell techs. if not i will take that extra coin and put it towards my bags/ valves. -tomato-
cool! many thank guys. gonna order a set after work tonight maybe some wheels too. Xs5875 would you be offended if i purchased a set of Motegi 107s. i had been eyeballin them for a while, but once i actually saw them on a truck (yours) i fell in love...
Go right ahead sir. I don't think there any other ones ridin em besides mine. At Least through all my searches I didn't see any. They are nice wheels for the money.
Oh and most folks don't reinstall the dust shield that bolts behind the spindle. It looks cleaner...some say the wheel dirties up faster but I've yet to see it. And your gonna have a crap load of toe in once you put the spindles on. So if its been a minute since you have had an alignment, go on and start soaking the adjustment sleeves on the tie rod ends now. Mine were a mofo! You can get it close with a tape measure , basically want a 1/4" of toe in. Just measure from the same tread front to back. Helps to have a friend.
The seller, "The Suspension Source", looks like it is a retailer/distributor, not a manufacturer. The picture in the ebay ad looks like the picture Belltech uses in their advertisements. I know it is easy enough to copy someone's existing pieces, but when you receive your spindles, can you post who the actual manufacturer is (if it is cast/printed anywhere)? Thanks.
good idea. i soaked everything down a while back when i cranked down the torsions and put on the 4runner bumper, but it couldnt hurt to do it again. i have only put something like 11 miles on this truck since i bought it, so who knows what the previous owners have done (other than spin a rod bearing and jack up the dash while removing a stereo). as far as pics as soon as they come in i'll put some up.
got my interest, in the market for spindles myself. Patiently waiting to see the quality/your opinion mater
I just got a set from them, they look like belltechs. They don't have a mfg printed on them, but they have the #2000 on both, and the #3438 on the right and 3439 on the left.
Probably cast at the same plant then. #2000 is the Beltech part number. Does anyone with the Beltech spindles know if they have anything different cast on them?
