never even seen this body style in person before, found it on craigslist 2 days ago for 650 buck. brought it home today for 500 running and driving. bought it from the original owner with 82k original miles. still has the factory wheels and hub caps. even the spare is original. i cant wait to start restoring it. not sure if im going to lower it keep it stock or make it 4wd. these are the pics from the ad, i will take more pictures tomorrow
Nice find! Stock with a slight drop gets my vote, too. Be prepared to look a little harder for parts, but you can still pretty much find what you need.
ill give you 1000 for it lol.. theres a sweet 76 by my house for the same price in same condition but no title !
thank you for all your input, i think im going to level and lower it a couple inches for the time being but once i get all the parts i need i think im gonna 4wd swap it and lift it up on some really knobby tires with low gearing. heres a couple more pics: found an evap canister in a hidden panel in the bed and of course....... http://s264.beta.photobucket.com/user/russKinzer/media/71hiluxburnout_zps5fee0b62.mp4.html
Nice!!! Use adhuntr.com, you'll find everything in craigslist lolz, that post was a couple months old already until you bought it , have fun with it,
not sure if this is considered a tasteful drop but for the time being... rear still needs to go down a little more
Two things... 1- I hate you...... Awesome find 2- I'm also in line if you decide to unload the mudflaps. And quite frankly kind of like the bumper.....
well thank you, i just cant get rid of the flaps there too awesome. idk about the bumper, its pretty hideous yet cool at the same time kinda goes along with the whole truck. how much are the teq flaps really worth? to an interested buyer
Where are you located? I swear I saw that on local Spokane craigslist just a little while back.. Welcome and nice score.
i live in cda ya it was on clist for a while for like 700. i couldnt pass it up for what it is the engine runs amazing and the tranny is super tight, stopping however is a different story
well due to unfortunate medical issues i had to sell the pickup. luckily my friend had his eye on it since i took it home so he bought it for what i have in to it. he told me hes going to drive it how it is for a while after he puts floors in, he is currently working on a vw pickup on bags and his bagged hardbody is torn apart for a body drop so this gives him something to drive mostly stock.
Damn you!!!! Haven't been on this site since my toyota took a poo and i got my new truck! Woul have been sick if you went a jdm route on it!!! I'm kinda curious about this vw build your buddy who bought the truck though!
