Hey yall i have a mighty max that i am wanting to put a toyota front end on. I have 92-95 4wd fenders 92-95 corner lights 92-95 2wd grill 92-95 4 runner front bumper and front valance. i was wonder if anyone has done this to their toyota and if so how did you do it and what it kinda simple or did you have to mod a lot of stuff. Please no crap about me having a mighty max. If i could have found a toyota that i could afford i would have one. But i am doing the next best thing. thanks for the help ahead of time.
on toyotas, it all bolts up. IIRC for a 2wd you have to finesse the radiator support a little but that's it. On a dodge/mitsubishi truck nothing is going to bolt up. I have no idea how you'd structurally attach it but obviously fiberglass for the costmetics. IIRC those mighty maxes are pretty boxy and square. how's that gonna look with the 'yota front end that's kinda curvy and rounded?
I think you'll have issues with the gaps between fender and doors, and hood and cowl. why not just slap a cowl hood on it and a 89 toyota valance and trim it out nice, the mitsu. trucks are good looking rides when done right.
Sell your max and buy a Toyota. Plus with all the time & money you spent in the end you could of bought a Toyota and your mighty max is still a mighty max.
i am cutting the fender and blending the toyota fenders in to it. I have cut the radiator support out and put a 2wd one in. The reason i am not just selling the max and getting a toyota is because a guy pulled out in front of me and they totaled it. I had just got done rebuilding the motor trans all the front suspension and the rear end. Plus i have never seen anyone with a complete front end swap from a max to a toyota. So to make it short insurance would not cover getting another truck, i just bought it back and used the money to buy the parts!
Brotha man I've seen some crazy lookin trucks on here like a 90's model Yota with a BMW's front end.Although it's nothing I would do it turned out nice.Use all that as fuel to build your MightYota.I want to see a build thread with a bunch of pics.
I've done it. I have a 1992 pickup, and I bought an entire front clip from a 1995 4Runner, from the firewall forward. I did this solely because I wanted the bigger head lights in which I can run the HID setup I want. It's 93% the same. The radiator support is different between the two and the headlights and a few of the grill clips. The 4WD fender are wider. The 2WD blinkers do not work on the 4WD fenders, they're backwards basically. I chopped back to the firewall and replaced the entire front clip. If you can't do it yourself, this could be an extremely exspensive step. I also painted the engine bay black at the same time. The truck now has a complete Ford drivetrain, V8 Before: During: After:
hey Erik Beeman that is what i have done beside the whole front clip. but that looks really good. Luckly i can do it all myself so it will not cost me to much beside the parts. Robert m and Malessohomegrown thanks for the support. i will be getting the pic on here as soon has i figure out how to post pic lol.
