ok, i got some clearance issues with my tires and the very edge lip of my fenders. is there a way i can get my wheels to camber in just a bit to clear my fenders??
You add shims to increase camber... AND caster. once that's adjusted, your toe will be off. and your whole entire ride is going to be way off.
man, my entire ride is already WAY off. and short of going with 4x4 fenders is there anything else i can do? i'm only lacking around 1/4" to clear my tires completely.
just a thought... i seen a couple post on here where people are talking about doing a "ball joint flip." i understand that, it doesn't seem like it'd be to hard. but, theoretically, it would give me the camber i'm looking for right? or will that make it go into positive camber when i need negative??
Rolling fenders is taking a fender roller and using a heat gun to roll the inner lip of your fender.. Pulling a fender is exactly what it is. Pulling it out and making clearance for the wheel. You can use a baseball bat to phone books with this method. Google and YouTube are your best friends
the BJ flip will lower it ~1" but will not affect camber differently than going over a bump or putting a few sandbags on the bumper to lower the same distance. If you know someone with an alignment machine, you can maybe talk them into adding a little camber to your ride without messing up the caster and fixing the toe. With the adjustment method on our trucks, I wouldn't mess with it without a machine to measure.
