Thank you all for the welcome, My name is Dan and I retired,My youngest son bought me a 1985 Xtra cab to give me something to do. Found it setting in a field, and gave the owner $200 for it.It has under 2 hundred thousand, Needs a little TLC on the cosmetics, but the mechanics are fine. Owner said it was running when it was parked a year ago,Son put a couple of gallons of gas in it,jumped it,and it fired right off.The driver door window and handle were broke out,so it was really dirty on the inside The motor sounds good, meaning there are no funny sounds coning from it,the trans is automatic, and shifts as it supposed to.Has some rust with pin holes on the driver side of the bed about the size if a dime and of course is in need of paint and at least a seat cove,if nothing else. Will post a few picks in a short while.
[/IMG] Putting 84 4 runner doors on with power windows last one till more work has been finished I want to change the color to Black/ Silver, with red interrior. The seat isn't to bad but does have a good amount of ware and cracked dash.
And as I said it runs good, and drives good,OH I forgot to tell ya that the boy also put new tires on it for me, all in all not bad for a $200 dollar truck.
