What do I need to fit these rims on?
I heard that 1/4" spacers are the biggest spacer to fit on the stock lug screws.

Any tips? The Lil Red 94 is my inspiration. :clapping:

Is this enough to run the 350z rims?

going from that links url that isnt the right bolt pattern. your truck, and those wheels use 5x114.3mm or 5x4.5". why do those wheels need spacers, is it to set the center bore of the front wheel out further or do they rub inside the bed or when turning up front?

ill look up a few things, if its the center bore, why not just bore them out a little in the front with a die grinder? lots of wheels need that. i used to have probs on my 78 and the fronts were bored. not all the way through, they still had the center caps. just enough to take a little centering flange they had.

from what i can find, they are 18x8 and 18x8.5 wheels. +33mm offset on both front and rear. but i could not find out the center bore or the size of lug studs they use.

Hey guys! The reason I had to run the spacer was the center bore. I do plan to bore them out but the spacer got the wheels on the truck. They spacers are 1/4" and move the wheel out just enough to clear the dust covers up front and the hub in the rear. I'm not able to run the center caps up front yet. The back center caps were modified a little to fit. The original center caps are 2 1/8" and are counter sunk in the center of the wheel. I couldn't find anything but Nissan and a few Dodge center caps with that measurement so I made something work. Good luck on the wheels:D

yea, the center bore on the 350Z wheels have a conical (or tapered) bore to them. they fit the overall bore of the wheel, but as you set the wheel in further to the hub, the diamiter of the bore size steps down to fit the caps on the center. A 1/4" was what the wheels needed to mount securely onto the mounting surface.

although the wheel spacers are only 1/4" thick, the front lug nuts have very little thread to bite on with the stock studs........ the cure for this will be to run rear wheel studs up front. the rear studs are 1/4" thicker to get past the drum surface since the studs mount from behind the drum and behind the axle flange.

also, if you bore the wheels out to get em flush in th front, they WILL rub the inner frame rail and you will need to adjust your steering limiter caps.

sik toy........ you can find these spacers at almost ANY wheel shop near you. i think even discount tire carries them. keep looking online and good luck :waytogo:

there ya go. that sounds like a good answer to me. lol. id rather run a small spacer and new front lugs that bore the wheels and have no caps.

OK, I get that you need the 1/4" in order to run without rubbing and stuff but what if I didnt mod the front screw studs? Can I just force it securly? 1/4" doesnt really make a difference right? or does it?

Do you have pics of the mod? Im not a mechanic, so yeah; its confusing!

you can run em without the longer studs but we currently have not done them and are running fine without them.... HOWEVER i do foresee issues soon down the road if we do not change them out. so i am going to get mac to pick some rear studs up soon and change them out for peace of mind that we wont snap the studs off from too little bite on the lug nuts.

to recap, yes. you can run a 1/4" spacer without longer studs.

no, i would not leace them like that for too long. (try to get the longer studs soon after)

the studs are not very hard to change out. you'll need to remove the wheel bearings and hub, then knock out the studs....... or you can also have them done at a shop.

im not for certain you'll need them on a tacoma........ if anything. you can get the wheels and do a test fit before you go out and buy the spacers.

the hub's on the older toyotas however i believe are bigger than the tacoma's so you may not even need them if this is true......

boring out the rims is alot more expensive then 1/4inch spacers....u can get a full set of 4 x 1/4 inch spacers for 40bucks at 4wheel parts hawaii(i see u on hawaii forums too) and if u run spacers u get that low and wide stance to give ur truck that aggresive look...im running 1and a quarter inch spacer on my front(adapters) my truck runs fine...
