Anyone know exactly what could be causing it? If anyone does. what do you suggest i do? its driving me
More than likely the valves lash needs adjusting mileage ? 22r and e's are known for there valve train noise even when there set to spec they still tick a little
22r motors also are known for the timing chain wearing out the plastic guides that sort of hold it in place, once they wear through they start rattling on your cover, if it wears through all the way you've got a problem. Had to do one on my old '84 4wd pickup, not the hardest job to do with a good write up, some beer, and a buddy or two haha. Might want to look into it. Then again it could be a large number of things, that's just the first one that popped into my mind
agree with above. Valves should do it all the time. My timing chain on 22re was making the noise most of the time.... by the time it was removed there were only 4 teeth on the gear holding the chain on....... got real lucky on that one!!
Appreciate all the advice everyone. Will work on it and update you all as soon as its done. THANKS AGAIN!
My 22re had a busted driver chain guide that made noise, I suggest getting a metal backing guide instead of the cheap plastic ones, hope you don't have to do so much.
not sure whats going on here, but i know in my truck, when i step on the gas pedal, the rpm's go up. just saying. idk if anyone of u guys ever experience this problem before.
