hey guys, just wanted to tell you guys about my experience with changing the color of the carpet in my regular cab. i have used everything out there for this. the first kind i used was "simply spray". it is specifically for fabric, but its close to $20 a can and dont go far at all. then i used duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint. was priced ok, but had to spray a coat then brush, then repeat like 6 times to get to hold color. then it stunk for months, and faded shortly after. now my last kind, believe it or not, was krylon indoor/outdoor. it does say for fabric in fine print on back. i used flat black cuz its what i used for dash trim and trim pieces around seats and had some left. this has been the best i have used for carpet. one coat was all it took. no smell, no stiff feelin carpet, no fading, no bleeding onto my clothes. and the best part of it, its only $3.47 a can. i will post a pic of my carpet when i get home. just thought i would let ya guys know of a cheap, yet effective, color change option.

I found some good cheap carpet from Home Depot that is indoor outdoor carpet that fits nicely and is about the same price as the cans of paint. Here are a couple images or my carpet.

What did you use to hold the carpet down and shape it into place?

I actually didnt use anything to hold it down or really shape it. I pressed the carpet down and cut the corners to fit and used carpet tape to hold those pieces together then the seats are mounted on top of the carpet. It is help down just a good as the original carpet

This is what I got from Pick n Pull. $6 for the carpet, about $4 for the can of Dupli Color fabric and vinyl paint, soap, water, carpet brush, and 2 hours of my time. Its done and in the truck now.
