only with torsion bars waitin for blocks to come in will post pics when all done, also whats the lowest i can go without notching it...??? What setup wanna go as low as i can in the back without notching it , so what setup can i go for the back
Nice start bro! Once u get ur blocks use sand bags in the back to find out how low u wanna go. Keep in mind if u pull leafs itll make ur suspension very soft. (More likely to bottom out frame on axle). Sandbags compress existing suspension making it low and stiff. Nice but worse on gas. Slightly slower. And wears suspension faster. But a good way to find ur comfortpoint of lowness.... which fyi is never low enough. Ull always look for more clearence here and there and ways to bring it dowm just a smidge lol
you can go all the way until your axle hits the frame before you need to Notch it ....LOL I kid, I wouldnt do anything lower than 4 inch blocks without a notch, but thats just me because I am old and my back thanks me.
Can i still pull leaf spring its only gonna be in the garage for a while, ima tear up the interior in a couple of weeks, also what are sandbags....??? Im new to this
Sand Bags meaning bags full of sand. Like you would put out for rising water. Another alternative to pulling leaves, pull the leaf pack off the truck, bring it to a spring shop and have them "de-Arch" the whole pack....My Isuzu back in the 90s...(ok I am showing my age) had 4 inch blocks and 4 inch dearch....
Do you plan on hauling anything? With a 3" block and your bumpstops cut down to 1" you can haul maybe 500lbs, but you will be bottoming out on bumps...
Front and back... /\ shaped rubber things. They soften the impact when you bottom out your suspension. When you add a 3" block you will be sitting 1" above the bumpstop, meaning you only have 1" of suspension travel. That's why you will want to cut them down. The front has bumpstops too... I just took mine out, but if your too low and bottom out a lot, its not good for yoir suspension parts. It will be metal to metal without them.
