Hey guys im new to the site. I would like to know if all the single cab long beds were produced without the gutters along the top of the bed in the USA & japan.

All Australian hilux beds seem to have the the gutter along the top of the bed as the picture below.

Not sure if Toyota had trucks in Australia without the lip bed, but I do know that here in the US the 89-95 came without the lip. I know cause Ive got one for my 91. I can post some pics of it later if you need me too.

"smooth" sided bed or "domestic" bed was ONLY in the USA .. it was due to there import laws .

here in Canada , and EVERYWHERE else .. all toyotas of that vintage had the rail on the bed .

/89 is when it changed .. and toyota produced both a rail , and smooth side .

Ill get you some pics of it & post them soon. If your serious about getting a bed from the US then your best bet would be to contact TAP-Toyota Auto Parts in California. They have everything for any model Toyota car or truck!! They are the ones that I bought my engine, tranny, driveshaft & seats from that are in my truck now. Ill get the number for you when I get home from work & post it on here. :)

hmm..in my opinion its alittle high, but if it doesnt have to much rust, if any then its not bad then..

Thats not too bad espically if its in good/great shape cause they are getting harder & harder to locate. It took me over a year to find the one Ive got & I paid $1000 for mine, but it was a rollin frame minus the cab too.
