Hi, sorry for my first post to be a problem.

I've got an '89 2WD/3VZ-E/5-speed/xcab/long bed. The brake line running along the axle sprung a leak a while ago so I spliced in some fresh line with pressure fittings, as one does, and bled the whole system. Ended up going through 4 quarts of fluid before the air was completely gone and the truck would stop instantly. But over the next few days I would increasingly get occaisons where the pedal would go to the floor and only engage the rear drums. And that's gotten more frequent over the month to the point where I have no front braking at all. There's no leaks and no drop in fluid levels in the reservoir, and I can still get full response from the front brakes if I jam on the pedal while running around 50mph in 5th gear. Otherwise nothing.

It's not fun running around with only rear brakes in this truck. Help please?

I have had brake fluid leak through my booster and it got sent into the intake and burnt white smoke out the back.just che if there is air in the line.If the pedal is going to the floor there has to be some air in there.

could be the brake master cylinder. bleeding an old master cylinder can actually damage all the rubber seals on the piston.
