    Hi everyone.

I just recently purchased a 1991 Toyota Xtra Cab 2WD pickup (my first!) and I have a question about the PAIR System. According to the service manual, my 22re is equipped with the PAIR system. I would like to add a CAI system to the vehicle but in every write-up and video I've seen, no one talks about integrating the PAIR system with their CAI system. My question is this, has anyone done this and if so, do you have any pictures or would you be able to explain this to me?

Thanks guys, oh, by the way...really nice forum!:D

No, we just have a safety inspection which requires a non leaking exhaust system (must have converter).

just put a fitting on the intake pipe and run the pair right into it.

anyone interested in a CAI isn't interested in keeping the PAIR system. Are you adding a true cold air intake (box and feed from outside the engine bay) or just a cone filter open to the engine bay? Are you planning on replacing everything up to the throttle or just throwing a cone on the AFM?

Without moderate trouble, the best way I can think of to retain the PAIR system filtration without the stock airbox is to put a breather filter on the suction tube.

When I did my intake/battery swap, I just removed the whole PAIR system but I don't have to worry about emissions or safety inspections.
