    looking for some tips from the crew on the weatcoast, i really wanna get the truck looking like a true westcoast cali lowrider any suggestions..

    Heres a visual, doesn't get much better than this.

    You'll definitly need to get no bigger than a 15" wire wheel (Daytons) and have the offset of the wheels making then stick out from the fenders at least 2" (I believe).

    This is the true "Lowrider style", bigger wheels tucked into the fenders is Cali Style, alot of people confuse this, just because its lowered they automatically think its a "Lowrider", Just like having an adjustable suspension, they automatically think Hydralics.

    Good luck with your project, I think its cool you want to bring this look back, thats where our roots in Mini Truckin' came from in the first place!

    i was thinking close to that, maybe some welds deep dish but yea keeping it under 16'

    Welds deep dish are not Cali. Weld and Centerline's are an Island thing.

    Just saying as a example, here in nc we must be way behind Im still seeing pathfinder wheels on 720's and that's the "new" thing

    -13" daytons on white walls
    -kandy paint
    -lots of chrome or gold
    -Plush interior
    -Some sort of hydraulic suspension

    id looked at some american racing ventura wheels with some nice backspacing

    I would love to get a billet grill for my truck, probably have to have one made. Anyone know if the flat bar grills like this one on the mag cover above are still available and where, this was the original billet grill look back in the 80's, very popular back then?

    Those are the perfect era style wheels in my opinion..that or the hammers..
