    Hey gang,
Well, I don't know that this is much of a build thread as a show-and-tell. Just wanted to show off my truck since it's just about to turn 375,000.

It's my daily driver and I haul a dirt bike around all the time so I lowered it only a little. As it is, it's perfect. With a bike in the back, the 225/50x17s just barely rub when I hit a big dip or something. I have the Mustang Bullit wheels on there and I really like they way they look. Yes, I know I have to take care of the "Ford" on the center cap. hahhaha I'm not super crazy about having to run spacers, and I have to re-center them periodically but oh well.

I did the big brake conversion using the stands I bought from a member here. I absolutely LOVE this set up!! So powerful and it has already saved me from a couple accidents. So it has more than payed for itself already. It's fantastic!!!!!

The wheels, brakes and lowering are a result of being influenced by this fine forum so thanks for the help and guidance!!! I like the stance and appearance so much more now than the way I had it a couple years ago.

This was kinda cool. With a regular cab, space is tight. I wanted a little bit better sound without dropping a fortune or taking up a ton of room. I made this box that is as big as I could fit behind the seat. I started with the bottom. I put down wax paper on the carpet and surrounding area and layed down fiberglass. Then I built it up until I had a pretty thick bottom piece. Using that as a starting point, I built this little box out of MDF that has just about enough volume for an 8" sub. The box literally just sits there as it is form-fit to the floor. Doesn't move around at all. A Rockford Fosgate 551 powers that and some mids in the door. Sounds decent, all things considered!(this is an older photo and shows the bench seat. That has been replaced with SR5 buckets.)

Here's another look at the bottom of the box . . . .

The motor has a Downey intake and headers. The exhaust is 2 1/2" all the way back through the cat and Magnaflow muffler. I recently did the top end and related parts and while it was apart, had the head mildly ported and a Crower RV cam installed. I sent out for the headwork, obviously, but did the R&R myself. First time I had done a job that big. I took my time (i.e. slow) and was rewarded with zero leaks or hassles. Runs like a champ.

I've done the clutch myself a couple times. The first time was strictly routine but the second time was a "while you got it apart" deal. You know that little stud the throwout lever pivots on? Mine broke at about 350,000 miles. It's only a $12 part but you (obviously) have to drop the tranny to fix it. So I replaced the clutch again while I had it out. You guys with high mileage trucks; it might be another part to replace as a precaution when you are doing a clutch job.

I guess I dropped the tranny a third time when I put in a lightened flywheel. :)

Not shown in the photos are the SR5 bucket seats I installed. Love those!!!! Gives me a little more leg room and much more comfortable than the bench.

I also have Bilsteins all the way around and put in the H4 conversion headlights so I can run some monster bulbs. Works pretty well!

That's about it for now. I don't know that I plan on doing any more mods to it. It's so ideal for my uses as it is. I just laugh when I hear people talking about the unholy money they spent on a new car. Can't wait till mine turns 400,000!!!
