is it just me or others noticed this...my 85 Toyota calls for 17 inch blades....have you guys had trouble finding 17s or is it just me? I am thinking of dropping it to a 16, less coverage but more popular size....just a lil something on my mind!
I run 18's on all my yota's. Not that I have an issue finding 17's but 18's cover better. If you run early 80's subaru arms you can run 19" blades and have very little dead zone.
They should fit just fine. Most blades don't mount in the center so you can take that offset as an advantage to keep them off the top of the windshield.
old thread but I have never had a hard time finding 17" blades long as im not looking for them at walmart, but walmart never has crap or the crap you need. But my local autozone has plenty.
I've never had a problem finding a 17" blade, knock on wood LOL. In Costco's coupan book they run a BOGO on Good Year blades once in a while.
I run o2 Toyota minivan rear window wipers 10 inch blades super small but was going for a cleaner look without removing the arms wouldn't suggest it if rains heavily in your areas tho
I just bought new blades yesterday 17" for my truck. Seems like every auto parts store in my town had them since I did quite a bit of window shopping to find the ones that I wanted.
Any advice on brands/models? I had some silicone blades on my truck for about 4 years(I can't remember the brand, but they were bought at walmart)... They still work great, but when used during a "misty" time they chatter a bit, cus they're so "grippy"....Or its the rain X i use? So, anyways... I got some bosche blades the other day, just to see if my wiper experience could be enhanced, WORNG! They chatter worse than my old ones and make a horrible squeek, squeek, squeek sound as they do their thing.... They get the job done....As good as my 4 year old pair, but im probably going to put the old one back on and return the bosche's.... Anyone have a favorite pair?
I put Volvo 240 arms on my truck. Those combined with 19" blades give me TOTAL coverage on my windshield.
i change mine pretty frequently now living in Ga, but even when i lived in cali and never used em. i always just bought the second to the cheapest at walmart... never had problems with them. they work great and like i said i change them pretty often though...
I have a 85 and have the worse time with wiper blades. Trying to get the blades on the wiper arm is such a hassle......to many application.
I have set of piaa blades there not to shabby oh ya there 17's or were they 18's don't remember mix it with rain x and you got one sweet setup just make sure you clean your window first or you will be sorry
i bought some bosch ones a couple weeks back and they dont mount properly on my arms... Anyone else having problems mounting blades on their's?
