is it just me or others noticed this...my 85 Toyota calls for 17 inch blades....have you guys had trouble finding 17s or is it just me? I am thinking of dropping it to a 16, less coverage but more popular size....just a lil something on my mind!

I run 18's on all my yota's. Not that I have an issue finding 17's but 18's cover better. If you run early 80's subaru arms you can run 19" blades and have very little dead zone.

They should fit just fine. Most blades don't mount in the center so you can take that offset as an advantage to keep them off the top of the windshield.

I've never had a problem finding a 17" blade, knock on wood LOL. In Costco's coupan book they run a BOGO on Good Year blades once in a while.

I just bought new blades yesterday 17" for my truck. Seems like every auto parts store in my town had them since I did quite a bit of window shopping to find the ones that I wanted.

    Any advice on brands/models?

I had some silicone blades on my truck for about 4 years(I can't remember the brand, but they were bought at walmart)... They still work great, but when used during a "misty" time they chatter a bit, cus they're so "grippy"....Or its the rain X i use?

So, anyways... I got some bosche blades the other day, just to see if my wiper experience could be enhanced, WORNG!

They chatter worse than my old ones and make a horrible squeek, squeek, squeek sound as they do their thing....

They get the job done....As good as my 4 year old pair, but im probably going to put the old one back on and return the bosche's....

    Anyone have a favorite pair?

I put Volvo 240 arms on my truck. Those combined with 19" blades give me TOTAL coverage on my windshield.
