I only have a 3 days to figure this question out.

I have the choice between 2 Suzuki Sierras and an MX73 Cressida (all need rebuilds) or an 89 bone-stock Hilux 4x4?

    I can't decide.

Depends on the engines in everything, Toyota kept making the 5ME to deal with the gas you guys had down under a lot later than the rest of the world. If it has the earlier 5ME, even a 4 cyl truck ought to be close. If it has the 5MGE, it'll spank a stock 4 cyl truck (similar weight, 40 more hp). If you have the V6, you'll be pretty close.

No idea about the sierras. Looks like engines are available from well under 1l to just bigger but not knowing more and not having them over here to have ever seen before I can't say.

Thanks man. I ended up getting the Suzukis and the Cressida. I SASd both the Suzukis and passed them on for 2000 each, I got them both for 1500! The Toyota stuff cost me about 300 in spare parts I had lying around. The money from that went into funding a future paint job for the Cressida. It's all good, thanks again for your help.
