    what is the offset on them and specs on the wheels. im running is250 wheels and I think the fronts are 18x8 +40mm in the front, and 18x8.5 +45 in the rear. I only have a 3/8" spacer in the rear and the only rubbing issues is when the rear flexes going up driveways while turning, the tires rub the inside (toward middle) wheelwells. the front ju will rub the strut rod when turning all the way.

    I think the bolt pattern is the same, but the center bore might be to small

    yea the bolt pattern is probably the same. i would run at least a 1" spacer because the hub bore is smaller and the wheels would look sunken in because of the offset.

    Here are the specs that I found.......2008 STi five-spoke. Size: 18x8.5" Offset: +55. Bolt pattern: 5x114.3.

    I figured I would have to run a spacer....just wanted to make sure thats the only issue I would have.

    If I run spacers will I have to change out the studs on the front or rear?

    i don't think you'll need to but i could be wrong. i ran 1 1/4" spacers with the stock studs.

    my spacers look like the ones in the link
    5x4 5 1 1 4 Wheel Spacers | eBay

    if u don't wanna run spacers u could probably go to a machine shop to make the hub bore bigger but they might rub on the fenderwells in the front or the suspension in the rear.

    STI's are all 5x114.3. The wheels are a +55mm offset, that's going to be sunken in. As long it doesn't rub too much on the inside and bother you, you should be fine. Or a 1" spacer to help push it out a little.

    I believe 8.5 width with +55mm is gunna be roughly 20-23mm more sunken in than 18x8.5's rear wheels from a 350Z. That's relative.

    So what are you thinking? You think 1" spacers will do it or do I need to get a different size?

    I think 18x8.5 with such a high offset of +55mm would bring it really close to inside and when you turn, you'll rub on that strut bar.

    This is our reference picture.
    350Z anniversary 18x8 front wheels are +30mm.
    350Z anniversary 18x8.5 rear wheels are +33mm.
    Tires are 225/40/18.

    That's a member's truck with the wheels and no spacers yet.
    0" = 0mm so you'd have +55mm offset. It would sink it in 25/22mm less than the Z's. (-0.86 inches for 8.5")
    1" = 25.4mm so you'd have +29.6mm offset. It would push it out .4/3.4mm more than the Z's. (0.13 inches for 8.5")
    1.25" = 31.75mm so you'd have +23.25mm offset. It would push it out 6.75/9.75mm more than the Z's. (0.38 inches for 8.5")
    1.5" = 38.1mm so you'd have +16.9mm offset. It would push it out 13.1/16.1mm more than the Z's. (0.63 for 8.5")

    So you can see how relatively close each thickness of spacer would be. Compare each imaginary spacer with the numbers I've given you and imagine how sunken in your BBS's would be just bolted on, and if you put on a spacer, imagine each increment pushing it out from the reference picture of a Hilux on 18x8(+30mm)/8.5's(+33mm).

    If you want the STI wheels to sit where those Z wheels fit on SD Yota's truck, you'll need 1" spacers.

    So I finally got these wheels bolted on with 1 inch spacers....sorry no pics yet....been raining like crazy here. Everything worked out great....took the truck to get aligned and when they were finished they said there was still a little shimmy at 45. I drive it home and there is no shimmy....this mug SHAKES at 45-55-65. It feels like its the driver front tire but I had it balanced along with the other three.

    What could cause this to shake so bad? the front end parts are all brand new so I know its not that. Any ideas???
