ya, but since you are doing a jz swap, might as well go big and do the 2jz...its only money, you cant take it with ya
Nissan v6 out of a 90-95 pathfinder, swap over 80s 300zx parts, turbo, can make 450 hp out the box with just boost and a good tune. if you blow one up pick another one up for 200 bucks. Not a fan of inline engines so 1uz .
where is a good place to buy front clips from... i have been pondering the same idea on doing an engine swap..
swop hey guys, I have a 86 runner with a 22re auto 4x4. I was thinking of a full drivetrain swop. my first thought was to buy a wreaked but running 2000 to 05 4runner with a 3.4l v6 auto 4x4 and pull all of the drivtrain including the computer. my other thought was to find a old bronco2 4x4 and do the samething. or just put a new 22re in it. the tranny was just rebuilt 3 years ago. any thoughts?
Do what will make you happy I'm on my third 22R second with boost and I wish I would have done a 1uz swap and then boost that in the future
1uz seemed cool, and they sound amazing with ITB's but hard to get a lot of power out of them. if memory served me, the 2uz, the truck engine, was the preferred motor to boost out of that line, lower compression stock, and tougher internals. also 4.7L with boostus would be gnarly on these little trucks. im stoked about 350whp in these, i cant wait till i get more
If I had my choice I would do the newer 5.7 liter but more then likely I would take a complete swap out of an SC just cause its easier to get ahold of probly pay an arm and a leg for a new truck motor and tranny
If you are thinking of a supra engine dont do a 7m. I would say 1uz would be awesome! or go 1jz or 2jz
I was talking about the Lexus v8 but yeah my mom use to have a cressida so I'm pretty familiar with the 7mg
