I wonder how we can put a price on our trucks. Any suggestions? I assume that I will probably take a bath on it, but how do I get the most out of it?

And does anyone have any suggestions on price?

I have gotten some more work done on it, but haven't posted up in my build thread....

dont sell it, you'll regret it. you'll be back....... just like me. haha...

honestly man, you cant put a price on it... as you can tell.... what ive been told especially on this market is take total amount you have in it, only a third of that is what you can add to the fair market value from a stock truck.... so say you spent 10k, truck is usually worth (here in socal) ~3000, add that 10k dollar third (around 3500 bucks) and you have your "realistic" price target. = $6500. thats the way ive seen it done. and usually sounds as a fair price. just my opinion on the matter. good luck on whatever you decide though...

Problem with slapping big $$ on a run of the mill Toyota truck is that you may get 1/3 back if you are lucky. Toyota sold close to a million trucks every year starting in 77. Prior to that, they were selling roughly 5-700k trucks a year.

Take a look at this truck. I can almost guarantee you that he has well over double of his asking price invested in his truck. Its been listed for quite some time at $8k.

I got my truck a few months back with the intentions of doing it up with rims, paint and a nice suspension. After thinking it over, I returned it back to stock height and Im now on the hunt for something worth investing in...like an earlier 70s truck.

hypothetically speaking if I was in the market for a mini truck I would consider a truck like yours much more desirable then the truck posted in the link above. Obviously that truck has lots of money dumped into it, but its a 100% show truck. Its not practical for most people to have a welded shut truck bed, a nitrogen tank that requires filling , a glossy painted dash and a gnarly custom paint job that would basically be impossible to touch up... and seriously now, who's wife or girlfriend would let you get a truck with paint like that. There also are no pictures of under the hood or the inside the truck bed. :silly:

I don't remember exactly what your truck bed or interior look like, but if your bed is still functional and your truck is put together enough to consider "done" I would list it for around 10k
