It's possible but a waste of time the conditions a motor goes threw to get to lock up point is brutal on the bearings and rings .if it did it would have a short life
Change it out ? U saying rebuild it yea that can be done machining of the journals and mains is necessary . Simply swapping bearings or rings on a motor that seized either due to overheating or lost oil pressure . To much damage to critical areas just not worth the price vs longevity . You can get your crank and rods block machined .and rebuilt for fairly cheap these motors are easy to build
From wat I saw it had water mixed with coolant ill post pics as soon as I get on a computer And it sat for awhile can it still be done
If thats how it sat for a long time the pistons could just be froze up in the cylinders.Might not be locked up but you need to tear it down to know for sure.
Run. That one's not worth the effort. Can it be unlocked? depends on why it's locked, how bad, and how long it's been that way. If it's been sitting a long time it's possible rust pitted deeper than can be bored out making it pointless. I'd take it....for free. only because I could always take it in for scrap metal.
That motor is beyond repair. Cylinder walls and rings to damaged . If it ran it would have excessive cylinder wall damage Block needs to be honed and all bearing surfaces need to be checked ..rust on the piston once rust and pitting set in on the piston rings its pretty much done
@YOTA89, lammie lai chelu. dat motor looks like basula! but like da chelu from malessu said(malessohomegrown), try and just tear down the whole thing, remove crank, rods, pistons, see how far/bad the damage is. if there is any. u never know. as far as paying for it, prob 150 for sure.
Not to knock any ones advise but if the only problem is the rings being frozen to the cylinder wall then the crank could still be good.I would never give up on a good crank.Drop the crank inspect it then drown those pistons with some oil and hammer them from the bottom out thru the top.Use a strong piece of wood or something so you don't damage anything further while hammering on it.It's worth the effort if the crank is still good.As for the damage to the cylinder wall you gotta knock out those pistons and get a good look at it first before you condemn it.I could be minor and a simple honing job will fix.Point is just gotta break her down.I could use a spare crank chelu if you don't want to fack with it.
