if it's a weber carb, there's a possibility it needs a pressure regulator to tone down the fuel pressure. Some models are known to want noticably less fuel pressure than the stock fuel pump provides.

when converting to carb you need to remove the spacer from the dizzy and put a spacer on the side where the fuel pump goes. or vise versa. same head though.

you can run an electric fuel pump, just have to make sure the fuel pressure isn't too high. i'm not sure about the distributor but they might be different

you need a carb distributor, you need to drop the fuel pressure, the factory one puts way to much psi for carb, and aside the carb and intake I dont think you need anything else.

Yes some carb guys use the vacuum advance and some don't I use mine to keep my mechanical timing low for idle and low rpm use and let the vacuum advance take over on high rpm only using the outer vacuum line on the distributer I think that's 8-12 advance and the inner is vac line is 5-8 advance can't Remember exactly

all depends what you plan on doing to it, if you are like us typical guam boys slap some sides on it dont worry about vaccum advance
