About 4 years ago a customer brought his 84 extra cab to CanDo Specialties in Oroville,CA. Due to other projects and other circumstances the truck was put on the back burner. The frame was worked on here and there but never left the frame table. The truck was to receive a stock floor body drop with custom frame, a 1JZ supra motor swap, along with a few other sheetmetal mods.
I have worked for CanDo Specialties since early 2008. i started out working on installs and eventually to building and designing parts. In November of 2012 I worked out a deal to buy the owner out., and in January 2013 I Took the shop over. As part of the takeover I changed the shop name to KBS Fabrication. We are still in the same location and build the same great quality parts. We are working hard to create new products and expand the control selection already offered.
Another part of the transfer/buyout was completing the "supra toy". So here are some pics of the progress and I'll update as we work to complete this project and move on.
To get instant updates on this build, new product information, and sales like us on facebook. Also the shop phone number has changed (530)532-1557.

Been following this build on facebook as well, looks awesome. Steve the old owner built my control arms, bag brackets & tranny crossmember for my 91 Toyota. Best parts ever, glad to see the business in in great hands.

Ahhhhh...a frame table and a cool project to build on it. Looks like the beginnings of a cool mini truck. :waytogo:

The rear axle housing is shortened and welded up. Made a jig to hold backing plates straight with each other. The axle shafts should be resplined this week, also all air ride parts should show up. Next we will do steering, front tubs, and frame up the bed so it is ready for sheet metal.

Update on the supra toy. The frame is now a rolling chassis. Should have the body on this week.
