I've got a 93 2wd standard cab... I wouldn't mind lowering it a little bit, but mainly I would like to soften the ride. I am running 245/45/17 fronts and 275/40/17 rears and the ride is ruff! I am planning on taking out the middle leaf in the rear and maybe turning down the bars in the front. I am pretty sure the rear will soften, but I have seen conflicting opinions on the bars being turned down either softening the ride or making it harsher.... Opinions and experience in this please.................
You will soften the ride of your truck by loosening the torsions as long as you don't go to far. If the control arm is touching the bumbstop, the truck wil ride like tank. as for the rear, I'm not real sure about it.
I run 235/45/17 ad have them aired down to 29psi that helped a ton. Other than that putting a little weight in the bakc helps soften the ride a bit but if you're like me that is not an option.
Weight Ya weight is part of my problem I know I have no tailgate and carry no extra weight Plans are for a cap rollbar two buckets and the back of the cab cut out so I know that will help
