been looking into doing a 4 runner body swap to my 90 toyota hilux frame its a single cab shortbed truck would the wheelbase be the same or would if have to be a long bed frame?

 

same as your truck.

cut off your rear cab and bed mounts.

cut off 4runner mounts from back of the front door to the rear and stick em on your truck frame.

biggest hurdle is the gas tank crossmember needs to be modified or moved.

 

Thanks for the info and id be removing it since im gonna be having a fuel sale put in.

 

An if its gonna be bagged the trans tunnel will be in the way trust me haha there's a lot of little stuff tht gets annoying to deal with

 

it'll have to be cut not matter what,im doin a v8 swap.plus im not scared to cut it up lol

 

I'm lookin' at doin' the same thing with my '85 in the near future ... Are you plannin' to do a thread on your swap ??? Hopin' so 'cause i'm gonna need as much help as i can get ... LOL ... I'm not plannin' on runnin' bags (keepin' it static) so shouldn't be too hard ... Keep us posted w/ plenty of picz, please ...

 

Are the radiator core supports different or the same between this generation 4Runner and the pickups?

 

The 92-95 runners are different becuz the headlights
