And was wondering if anyone has used felpro's head bolt set? I'll be getting them also cause the motor has 220k miles and they need replacing I'm sure. Just wanted some feedback on the felpro bolts. Also will be doing the clutch and radiator, water pump.

i have them to use on my rebuild but its not together yet so i dont really have any feedback, i just figured they were better then reusing the OE ones.

    Shouldn't be an issue.

Technically, they are fine. A bolt, even a headbolt, can be reused as long as its not damaged in any way or over-torqued initially, thus stretching the bold to the elastic state. 1E torque specs allow for the re-torqung of headbolts, even main cap bolts.

How do I know? I am a quality engineer for a Caterpillar, manufacturing 32 litre twin turbo diesels...lol.
