Hey anyone running these blocks on their trucks? 4" LOWERING BLOCKS W/U-BOLTS & HARDWARE Thinkin about getting these don't know what you guys think? I'm not really sure if you can get a crappy set? Lol. Your comments would be much appreciated.
I think those should work. taper drop blocks might be a little better but its up to you. well there's only one way to find out if those are good haha...
Okay. I was just thinking cost effective. Trying to get it low on the cheap since i am just driving this while i look for my new truck. So maybe a few months and every other week it's parked due to my job anyways. But i'll try and find a set of tapered blocks for cheap. Anyone know of decent ones that i should look for? I want a 4 inch block though. Again thanks for the info
My brother has been running cheap 4" blocks/u bolts on his F150 bought from an Auto Parts store for over 4 years with 0 problems.
Hollow, and aluminum. Bad and bad. Refer to pic below to see what happens when your small leaf pads on the axle sit right on the edge of the block. It puts pressure on the wall which leads to failure. Just get a set of quality blocks so you have one less thing to worry about.
These are steel blocks i believe which are a lot less soft than aluminum. Like i said i want some more low just for the time being like a few months or so just while i'm stuck driving this truck as a daily. I plan on spending more money on a ton of stuff when i tear into it, for my frame up resto i want to do. Then i will be contacting you a lot more for a ton of parts beefed!
It says in the listing they're made from extruded aluminum. Don't skimp on a daily driver, you might need it to get you somewhere.
I realized it said extruded aluminum after i said that. For some reason i thought they were so e different ones i saw. It's only gonna be a daily for like a couple more months anyways. And i drive this to work park it at work for 7 days then get the next seven off. I don't drive it that much at all.
