Haven't seen much of this but I was wondering if anybody had an idea about swapping axles and front knuckles from a 4wd truck to a 2wd. Mostly just to run 4wd Toy truck rims, i figure they look good on all the Hardbodies i see. I'm not sure on all the details but I figure it would be a straight axle swap in the rear same drive shaft and in the front remove the hub, ball joints and all and just transplanting into my truck. Any input would be very helpful, good idea, bad idea, pros/cons! Thanks guys:clapping:

I dont think the 4wd knuckles will work. you could try the knuckles from a t100. all the t100's were 6 lug and think the 2wd t100 & 2wd truck share the same size spindle. however I only think this because in the total chaos catalog the long travel parts are similar.

oh also one other way you couldwhen check is to look on autozone at the bearing sizes and brake parts between the two truck to check size comparisons between them. you might be able to swap hubs between the two (I was able to do that when I swapped bolt patterens on my suburban).

On the rear axle you would have to swap the spring plates from the top to the bottom.

As for the front- lots of nissan guys put toyota hubs on a nissan spindle since they use the same bearings - I would assume that you could just as easily put a nissan hub on a toyota spindle.
