Okay since I have put the trailer fenders on my truck I want to try and keep everything real simple and clean under the hood. I also dont like the idea of it in the bed.
My problem is I can't figure out where I can put my Battery? I have a Interstate Honda battery to go in which is wayyy smaller than the OEM. The battery is a 51R and is L9.5" x w5" x h9''

Here is what im working with in the engine bay

you can get a $10 battery box and mount it behind your seat to one corner.

How about under the truck where the spare tire would normally go? My first thought was hidden under the dash, behind the glove compartment door with the interior (pocket part) of the compartment taken out. Not sure there would be room though.

bmjwright has the best solution. I have two of these on my Mercury Custom and one on my 32 Ford Coupe for years. They hold up really well and allow decent access to the battery.

    Odyssey Battery

switch your battery out to a smaller one. Small enough to put behind your seat or even behind your glovebox

    Warning, They ARE PRICEY

I have a Odyssey PC1500 in a battery box from Summit, behind the drivers seat .With both positive & ground distribution boxes over it.
Changing the hold downs right now so can remove the nuts from the top instead of the bottom.
Also run all 00 cables to a main ground @ the frame & to another distribution box in the engine bay.

Okay so it looks like the best option is to put it behind the drivers seat. Who uses that space anyway lol.

My question now is since I dont have a "sealed" battery aka acid caps, Do I need to run a vent tube to the outside or can it just go in a box?

TRUCK ACTION do you have a picture of your setup? I would really like to see how you did the distribution boxes.

i'm doing front fenders on a club members frontier. he's running a kinetik battery that is supposed to be the same size as the honda batteries. i mounted right back where it would be stock, but kept it as low as possible to clear the lights and stay out of site.

Here's what I have ,one positive & one negative distribution box above the battery ( the positive one has a voltage read out), the other stuff is the air management ECU, & pump relays. Most of all in the cab is for stereo amps, pumps & air controller! The silver box in front of the battery box & on the side wall is the electric engine fan controller!
The distribution box in the engine bay ( circled) gets a feed from to battery, & feeds all there, the main fuse panel @ the engine gets power from it & back into the cab through all the stock wiring!

Built by me ,for me & driven hard!!
