Those are pretty sweet lookin. I'm new here but I'm gonna ask...did you have to cut the fender wells deeper to fit that size way up in there? E
I know he cut the fender wells in the rear to tuck the rims up in there. Not sure if he tackled the front or not. I guess don't " have to" but your gonna eventually snag on something going too low so if you never plan on lowering it much you wouldn't need to cut anything. nice build dude. You seem like the wheelin type esp being from idaho!!!! Hahahaha i'm over in spokane though maybe we could meet up so i can see that beast in person!!!!!
havent cut the front inner fenders yet but thats my next project along with 4wd fenders, 19s and control arms with ball joint flip... working on dragging frame still. and yes the tires rub like a mother in the front over bumps when riding low makes a horrible noise but no sharp edges and ya could prob meet up sometime.yes i am into wheeling as you could prob tell by my avatar... do you know the guys at central 4wd?
this project is tearing me apart I dont know weather to drop my 82 4x2 or make it 4x4........... can you give us some more info on the bagging process on the front I cant seem to find much on that for these years.
Check out twizted mini's build he bagged this body style and has a ton of info on it! And i think i have met a guy named scott who works there drives a black lifted chevy. I'll hit ya up and we'll meet up or something! Actually trying to get a small meet sometime out here
that would be cool, ya scott also has a silver 83 crawler on 39s, pretty nice set up. the front bag was super easy, just used channel on the bottom and drilled a hole for the bag bolt and angled it correctly on the a arm, and the top i used a round plate with 2 holes and just gusseted it on the frame. ill try to get some better pics but its parked for winter. i might pull it in the shop in a month or 2 to put the turbo on tho
did a little mock up the other day, still got a lot to do but this is where i want the wheel at normal street ride hight
ya, 4wd fenders are gonna look really good, i really like the red but i kinda want to stay with the factory yellow. thanks i cant wait to get all the tires mounted and drive on them
some updates.... still have alot of trimming and touch up to do. still not sure what im going to do for inner fenders. dont really wanna spend 70 bucks on trailer fenders....
awesome truck build. love the diesel getting bagged, not too common. new fenders look just right. i have some chrome cab vents if you need a set. hit me up.
actually i have been thinking about chrome vents, i think i got a buddy with an extra set. thanks tho. i have alot more pictures, the trans and engine cross member hit the ground i gotta clearance them and redo my bag plates so the bags dont fold over so much at full dump.
