Thanks for all the compliments! Glad I am getting love from you guys.

I am definitely trying to make this one of the cleanest 81s.. So I wanna take as much time as I need. Wednesday I will be getting the cab media blasted, so after that everything should go together a little faster. Only have nights and weekends to work on it... So progress is slow

That's what i wanted to do to mine but i can't remember who told me not to cause with that pressure it can warp the panels really bad? I actually read this company actually powdercoated all the body panels before doing body work but the car came out beautiful after all was said and done! But i can't wait i have the same goal with truck make it super clean!!! Just need a daily and ass loads of money :)

People say alot of things. I doubt ill warp the roof, but I honestly wouldn't blast a fender or a hood. but you're wrong where you said it takes alot of money. I have been budgeting the whole build, I haven't even met my purchase price goal yet.

Luckily I have a daily, so I don't need to rush this

Yeah my daily is my toyota for now. I don't want to spend anymore than i have to since i want to rip everything off and build everything from the ground up. Plus i want to do a lot of upgrading to it and make everything new. But kudos on being under budget!!!!

Its been a while, been real busy with work so been neglecting her a bit. But i am trying to make some time so i can put work into her. Here are a couple of pics of my progress.

Got the interior stripped completely down, the seat is not bolted. Just use it to move around. Gonna sound deaden and paint it, but thats only after all the body work is done. Interior is last on my to do list.

The cab is my main focus right now, getting rid of all the rust, patching holes, shaving minor stuff here and there. Here is an overall pics, i removed all the windows because i want new ones and this way i can paint everything correctly.

and what i have to deal with, luckily this is the worst spot.. and its not to bad. But i hate old cars because of this!!! stupid rust.

hopefully will have more pix tomorow, gonna finish up the doors and possibly the cab. Only welding, no body work just yet. Thats gonna be saved for next weekend.

That's lookin good man love those wheels if that's your worst rust spot I'd say that's not to bad there I no it's a pain chasing rust in spots like that but at least it's not super rotted

so here is a little update.. havent had much time as usual, but have been slowly working at it, an hour at a time.

Doors are done finally, bodyworked and primered.. dont have pictures just yet. Cab is coming along great, removed the old roof as i had found some rust penetrating through and under.

then i stopped by my local dealer and luckily, they were able to ship me a roof panel from kansas!!

then i began to put the roof on, its been tacked on. the drip rails are in the process of being shaved.. just to give it a different look from all the other 80's trucks rolling around

wheels have been taken off, and stipped. going to be going with a wider tire, and a different color. i am over the stretched and colored wheel setup. never driven on, but just want a more subtle look. ill leave the bling for under the hood ;)
