dash? double din

    I got a 91 base model pickup and my dash is setup for jus a single din radio....is there a way too put a double din in my dash.....I seen other 91 pickups with. Double din openings...will that center panel be direct fit too my dash

    I found the best way was to swap a dash and dash brace from a runner. Not hard to do but finding a non cracked dash was hard.

    I didn't swap the whole dash out, but I did change the braces on either side of that center section. Everything it like a glove.

    My 91 has a single din but it has a piglets pocket thing tht bolts in so I could fit a double if I take it out. Here's what mine looks like without the radio an plastic pocket thing

    89 Regular Cab. The weirdo with the stock suspension.
    Mine has the same pocket on it under the head unit. looks like it would fit a double din without the pocket in there. I just assumed the pocket was part of a "dash kit" for installing aftermarket stereo's. Anyway, mine is an 89, so if you could find one of those and fab up some mounts you should be set with just a little trimming.

    Yaa...mine has no pocket under it...jus a bull**** single din hole.....sucks....I gotta find the center panel
