Vaccum advance

    Any one know how to diagnose a bad vaccum advance..I was told my vaccine advance going bad.

    What I did is I took both hose out and one is sucking air and the other was not..is that bad.:confused:

    Chelu I only use the outer one.You can unplug the carb side and suck into the hose and your idle should raise slightly.

    The one closest to the radiator is the one most use the ( outer one )8 to 16 degrees of advance the inner is about five to eight degrees advance the outter one will give u the best range of advance

    So disconnected the one further from the radiator

    If you want yes that can be done just make sure u plug the vacuum line and u can put a vac cap on the unused nipple on the distributer as well just for kicks

    I gots no truck, for now
    i just disconnect em both plug the lines at the engine so you dont have a vacuum leak and run only the mechanical advance. Then up your base timing a few degrees and call it a day. Runs like a champ on my car.

    malagu nai e MSD lo low in cash...be chagi esti na trick..disconect one of them and c how it runs...the truck runs solid but wen i took it to shop to get it time nai they said that going bad..lol...

    Lo hafa e zumu rims..sa i want it...if u wanna give me....lol....:D

    true. ive heard a lot of people do this. just eliminate the vac.advance n run.

    its stil in my gayrager. dont worry , its complete with the tire stem! but no tires.:p

    esta...ill keep u posted wat happen on the vaccum...but planning to heading to vegas like in November and ill let u know so i could take it off your hands...:D:D:D
