I would build a truck just to be able to use those. :)

Is it terrible that I wonder what they would look like mounted on a 4Runner.

Oooo this is cool. Nice shop production Slacker. They appear modifiable to 84-88. I have an 86 jap bed set aside for my dually. Were these fabricated for fleetside beds only?

no short bed version .. not to say you cant make em fit ..
these measure 77" long .. short bed measure 76" long .. so if you have some fiberglass skills , you could make em work

beds are of the same dimentions .. so no worries there . again , they are designed for the 89-95 long bed , but this is not to say they wont work on other beds ..

I have big plans for those fenders if I get them. I think I know what to exactly do with them.

    Thread resurrection here.....

Just how wide of a flare is this? Is it designed around the 61" Toyota dually axle? How far from the stock metal bedside does this extend? It isn't clear to me how the flare is attached at the vertical ends, is there a flange that isn't visible in the pic?

    Thanks for the answers!:waytogo:

8" . and Yes .. it is designed to fit the 61" axle
they are not "mounted" on the vertical , they are built to fit to contour of the panel . they are mounted top and bottom .

we attach them with " nut certs" it is an imbedded nut , and offers the best mounting system .

I love that it fits the body lines.
Slacker, by mounting top and bottom, are you referring to where the factory bed has those "screws" for the bed? (along the bottom edge)
Thanks for the insight, I'd like to learn more.

yep .. if those work for you , you can just mark the glass , drill and mount

    Slacker;
    Couple questions:
1)Will the 5" bedside box flare for the 79-83 fit the 84-88 JAP bedside?
2)Do you offer a bedside box flare for the 84-88 JAP bed?
3)Do you offer a bolt on flare for the 84-88 JAP bed that resembles the oem flare on the USA bed?

As you can see, I really want a bolt on flare for my jap bed that flows like the us bed.I dont like the way the bushwacker flares look. My bed is in decent shape so I dont need a full bedside. I dont really need 5" clearance. 3" would be fine.

One more thing. Can the fiberglass full bedside be laid right over the old sheetmetal with some trimming? I may consider this if it's possible. My bed is decent but it had thousands of dings. A fiberglass overlay would minimise the bodywork needed before paint and keeping the oem sheetmetal will give me some piece of mind when I haul engines and transmissions.

These would be cool to fit some W-I-D-E tires without having to tub the bed. You could have Kardashian butt-cheek tires under your truck and they'd still fit!

No .. 79-83 flare will NOT fit the 84-88

we only have the 3" flared side for the 84-88's [IMG]...
sorry if this dosnt work for you , but this is all we have
