Hi everybody, I'm very new here! I've been a frequent member of StanceWorks for a little while now and I recently picked up a 76 Hilux, around that time I also discovered this forum. You guys seemed to have a pretty tight little community and a lot of knowledge about these trucks so I thought I would sign up and see what another forum is like!
So here I am, and here is my truck!

It has a 1980 20r with 80'000 miles, it also came with a new distributor and a timing problem, I seafoamed it and it runs a little smoother but still needs some gas when you start it. Suspension wise it has 4 inch blocks in the back(I think, haven't measured), I don't know what suspension mods have been done in the front, I can't tell if any have. But I want it lowwww, so any insight or tips will be much appreciated!

Thanks for looking!! Updates soon! :)

So I removed my spark plugs to find that the middle electrode is completely gone, so new plugs. And while they were out I rotated it to top dead center on the compression stroke and took the distributor cap off and the rotor is in the right place.. Does this mean I don't actually have a timing problem? It seems exactly where it should be, not a tooth off. But it still seems to sputter and misfire. Any ideas?

And let me know if these super high quality pictures blow you away enough!

When i get a new one, i normally do cap, rotor, plugs and wires, all factory toyota. Other than that, i guess just play with it?

Hey everybody, I know it's been several months since I posted an update, I haven't ACTUALLY posted one yet, but it's not like I've been slacking, so here comes one giant consolidated update! :clapping:

So pretty much the first thing I did after my last post was crack my valvecover from tightening it down too far
    [IMG]

Here I am sawing my seized bed bolts
    [IMG]

The poke I wish I had
    [IMG]

I got in a drifting accident and and messed some things up and my lug nuts were so tight I made this ghetto breaker bar
    [IMG]

    The aftermath
    [IMG]

    Rattlecanned my hood
    [IMG]

So I rode hoodless for a day
    [IMG]

I was also sitting on bumpstops up front, so after trimming
    [IMG]

One of my 8 inch wheels up front
    [IMG]

I rode bedless for a few months(I say rode, I can't drive it) and finally got around to mono-leafing it
    [IMG]

    Sorry about the shakeyness

Had a problem with my rear drum brakes locking up when you step on the brake pedal, so dis-assembled this, cleaned, and put it back together.
    No more locking up! :)
