Looks like aluminum front hubs with lug bolts? Everything is beyond bad ass them you go and do that... Personally I'd be screwing some studs in from the back before the threads get worn our or ruined.
thanks. yes we bought off the shelf mustang 2 arms. like anything else on this truck the upper arms didn't fit so we had to modify them. thanks. we are going to use 12 mm X 1.5 studs, we just threw in what we had for the picture.
trying to figure out what color to powder coat the frame. has anyone every had experience with using a matte finish on a frame? people say it's really hard to take care of but, starting to see a few production cars coming in matte finish and a lot of wheels in black matte.
had to tow the truck to the show. oh wellz i tried to get it running. since this guy could take better photos then me it's easier to post their link. lol STRONG BEACH'S FINEST: JCCS SPOTLIGHT-O-RAMA - Speedhunters
We corner weighted the truck the other day. It's 2,300 lbs. and hopefully around 700 to 800 hp. The biggest problem we are having with the truck is lack of room. There is absolutely no room for anything else. lol
That is sic dogg. I like that 4 link and rear coilver set up. I want to do that to mine. I jus dropped my 1jz in awhile back and looking to get rid of my leaf springs.
wow. thanks so much for the support it really means a lot! yeah i expected the engine compartment to be crowded. what was surprising is how full under the bed became. we used that huge oil cooler because we chopped the oil pan down some to fit the steering (to make up for less oil volume), inline water pump since the radiator in behind the rear end, fuel surge tank since the fuel tank has no baffles. hopefully we start this motor later this month. man a 1jz must run really nice in your truck! i heard the power band on those motors are really smooth.
the truck is tight on room. it's making things very difficult to install. the left pic is from the driver's side in back of the cab. it's the water pump with the fuel pumps and etc. next one is the back of the cab from the passenger side battery, relay panel and fuel pumps. next one is under the truck at the fuel pump / fuel reserv. bracket. next one is looking down at the fuel pumps from the driverside last one is radiator hoses from the back of the truck on the driverside.
saw some pics from the JCCS...i was wondering what set up you are running for your steering wheel? does it have a quick release?
Dang bro....................................................I'm speechless.Still trying to figure out whats going on in the back there. Is this still in mock up stage. Are you going to paint your killer frame work.
thanks for the nice comments! the truck is coming along pretty good. the steering wheel is a normal momo wheel. we got a aftermarket steering column and made a billet hub with no quick release. the gauge cluster is a stack unit with hks old school gauges in a machine from billet mount. everything is going to fit under the bed. the radiator piping, fuel res. and the battery and etc. we are thinking about doing something unique with the bed floor. not 100% sure which way we go with this. yeah. theres a lot going on in the back of the truck. theres a engine oil cooler with the single fan, inline water electric water pump to help pump the coolant back to the engine, fuel res. with 2 bosch fuel pumps, a relay panel, battery, aluminum radiator standing vertical with 2 electric fans, alum. gas tank with another fuel pump to feed the fuel res. and we had to run the coolant pipes, fuel lines and oil lines. yes. we plan to get the truck running and tune the motor. once that's done strip everything down again and start powder coating and paint things. hopefully more pics and a video coming soon. starting to wire everything. hoping to start the motor soon.
