    Time for some fun.

I spotted this on the way home from work at the local yard on the main highway. I instantly wanted it because I used to own it. Here is a quick history. I had it for 6 months (simply added some lights and a battery and got it on the road) and sold it 2 weeks later to a family friend. I lost contact with them for a few years to find it in the yard. I find out from the yard that they had it sitting for 3 years in the shed because of the rear left brake slave cylinder blew and half finished installing a new one. I went to the bank and handed over the money.

It arrives on the 10th Oct. (Delivery for 3kms (2ish miles) is $65! )

    Specs:

    LN46 with an L engine
    Minimal Rust
Unknown modification plate (I think for seatbelts)
fiberglass canopy and styleside (little rust)
Rear Bench and both Front bucket seats in good condition
    Steel Side Steps

Forgot to get a photo of the engine :(

It frustrates me when people post cool rides that were never offered in the states. Have fun with it!

It frustrates me being over here as I have to import parts from the states. Prices are brilliant shipping well... isn't

Actually that was my truck! You will see in my earlier posts. I walked from that without a scratch but had a spinal brace as a precaution. I fell asleep behind the wheel towing a 6x4 trailer, went into the opposite lane, woke up just before I hit a steep water drain I corrected (forgot) about the trailer, it went down jack knifed and caused me to roll 3 times as a result.

That was an expensive mistake :verdict_in:

Actually I kinda enjoyed it to tell you the gods honest truth. I was offered $12,500 from insurance because of its age. After more than 6 months on the phone and visting face-to-face, I found out that had I gone that route it would have been crushed and melted down. I wasn't going to let that happen as these are a stupidly expensive to get parts for.

For example: A Brand new Front drivers or passengers door without glass or upholstery are $440 each!

    Just a small update:

I removed the rancho shocks, rear bumper, side steps, exhaust and 5 spotties.

The Left and Right Drivers door skins arrived today at a cost of $620 with shipping.

Tomorrow I want to remove the rear axle and springs, whilst I am waiting for the donor to arrive.

I have been looking through some other forums and heaps of guys from the US are ordering All Pro Offroad Extreme lift kit. They start at $1700 and can reach as high as $2,500US (with extras) according to its website.

    https://www.allprooffroad.com/pickupsuspension/54

Shipping alone (with an educated guess) would be around $1,500.

Total I am looking at a ball park figure of $4,000.

My question is: Would it be worth the $$ to import top quality or should I piece together something that is local that I am unsure about for $2,500 + shipping of $900?
