r u talking sbout stacking blocks...dont do it...the best thing to do is to get a lowering leaf...if u do a 3" block and a 3" lowering leaf that give u 6" dropped...u might need a baby notch..

You WILL need a baby notch. At least where i live, in the foot hills. I have just the lowering springs and streetaco bumps and i hit those all the time. I'm looking to go lower and do a notch myself.

Where can I get a lowering leaf? Would the shackles help at all?

Shackles wouldnt help. Think of it this way the shackle only holds one side, so for every inch you make it shorter, you only gain a half inch in drop. And unlike chevys, the shackle on toyotas go through the frame not next to like chevys. So ultimately the leaf spring end would hit the frame. If you are trying to do it economically have you removed the middle leaf. You could also redrill the forward spring mount hole up higher like toyspd did on his truck.

Do u have any link to a DIY? What are the cons from removing the middle leaf. I don't wanna waste touch $$ so the cheaper the better I don't mind getting my hands dirty

I dont have any links to the middle leaf removal, but its pretty easy to do. You have to unbolt the axle and lift it off the springs. Under the spring/shock plate is a bolt that holds the pack together. I used a vise grip to hold the bolt (its round on one side) to keep from spining. Then I bent the clamps on the middle pack to allow the middle leaf to come off (once the center pin/bolt is removed). Then bolt the leaf back together and re-assemble. Here is how toyspd did the hangar mod

In the picture on post #123 you can see the clamps that hold the ends of the middle leaf. I bent one end up enough to get the leaf out.

3" blocks + middle leaf removal is a bit less than 6" though

should just do 3" blocks + 3" lowering leaf springs, and you'll have to notch the frame. just google 'toyota pickup drop leafs' or something like that, I think they're not too expensive

don't stack blocks. and removing middle leaf doesn't really have any cons, I drove it pretty hard (and recklessly...) when I had it, no problems

I wish I can put my middle leaf back on, I miss the stiffer spring rate and handling.. xD
