dash out new minitruckin! 383 stroker t350 trans takes some cuttin also i will be keeping heat and ac on this truck
i love the design of the heat and air on this truck 3 piece design makes it easy for install/uninstall and mods. i plan on putting a sound deadner of some kind all over the inside not sure what brand ill go with id figure id let everyone name the best bang for your buck.
My bro is a little better at sound deadener than i. But if your just going to cut out road noise, go with the dynamat or fatmat or whatever is popular and cheap these days. If you want literature, for a more audio oriented build, i've got that. Sound Deadener Showdown - Your Source for Sound Deadening Products and Information
Project looks good so far! I'm a little intimidated by the v8 swap....have an ls motor to go in mine. But I suppose it's only time and sheet metal lol. As per your sound deadening ....I wouldn't recommend either of the previous mentioned product. Having worked with both you do not get what you pay for. Particularly fat mat. The only way a sound damping material works is if it stays stuck and soft. That's the only way it can stop metal from resonating adequately. The best bang for the buck I've found is Hushmat. Cascade audio is really good as well but quite a bit more.
@nevrdun a ls swap would be so much easier i had a 5.3ls based motor lined up but it fell threw so i said screw it and started on this one
not much of any update but will have one in the next few days been busy working so havnt had much time to play with the truck but should have some major updates in the next few weeks
