Hey all! New member here from Las Vegas. New to the Toyota Truck scene (formerly in the Honda/Acura scene). I picked up a 91 toyota pickup, V6 extra cab. It needs alot of TLC, but i'm up for the challenge. The fuel pump went out on me, so I'm in the process of research it to change it myself. (mechanical novice)

This is when i picked up the truck.....


Had flames, campershell with spoiler, hood scoop, home made front body kit, etc.. I'm not knocking the guy, like the saying goes, "To each their own".

This is how it currently sits...




Flames have been removed, front body kit and camper shell have been removed, and 40 series single in duel out muffler. Black housing headlights with "projector" (not fond of. would like to replace soon), and mounted some Walmart fogs. Hood scoop removal, rattle can flat black, and lowering will be next hopefully.

Like I said, its a work in progress. It needs paint, interior pieces, but hey, i'm not trippin' off of free!

 

Nice truck it has lots of potential! I really like the little fender flares!

you should look into finding a 90-95 4runner front end. truck would be beast mode with the 4runner front end and a V-6.

didnt even look like a toyota when you first got it lol! looks 10x better with the flames!! haha jk! cant wait to see where this build goes.

Thanks brudda! I'm actually gonna get rid of and experiment with different hood set ups.

 

At dannyboy-you already know!!! I've been reading something about craking torsion bars? (correct me if im wrong) how is this done?

 

ahhh, for the front end drop all you really need is a jack, jack stands and a ratchet with the appropriate size socket and a measuring tape. heres a thread that weighs the pros/cons and has a tutorial at the end too:

but on the other hand, its free and can be un-done fairly easily.
