I think as long as you can certify the recall has never been done to your truck they will honor it. But, I don't really know. Quick phone call to the dealership would solve your dilemma.
Okay good deal, Im going to get the VIN and give them a call (cross my fingers). Preciate the advice.
So I talked to toyota and they said that my VIN didnt show any recalls at all. Im hoping that they are right.
Recalls never go away. I had a friends 94 toyota get the head gasket replaced last year under recal. If they run the VIN and it doesn't show that its been done they HAVE to do the recal.
Thats what I thought as well.....from what she told me mine was not included in the recall. Im guessing the date of the vehicle being manufactured had something to do with it. Maybe they used a different gasket on mine..I dunno. Think I should pursue it more?
