So I've been looking high and low for someone build thread to get some ideas of what I'm going to get my self into. I want to do a reverse four link. My main concern is doing the front shocks. How are you relocating them sents they run down the center of the spring.

I think you would be better off getting the suspension from an 84-95 truck. you get drop spindles and I believe its easier to bag. as far as the shocks I believe most guys build a small shock tower and run shocks outside of the upper arm to the lower arm.

No it will not. Im bagged and dont run front shocks, granted its kinda harsh sometimes but it is what it is. As far as your reverse 4 link search for Litneon's build he did a reverse, its the 89-94 bodystyle but you can get the idea. Also check around there are quite a few of us on here that are bagged.

There are a few ways that I can think of, I just haven't decided which way to go. It all depends on how much room you have behind the wheels you run.

I really want to try a pair of old school lever actuated shocks.

You can run shocks with almost any size wheel. It just depends on shock location. I'd say go with a forward link setup. But like other said 89-95 clip Wud be best becuz of simplicity. But on yours I think its coils in the front which you could get bag cups an then mount them. There's probably a few forums with builds check out yotascene aswell for builds

If I run the four link forward wouldn't I need to relocate the fuel tank??

The front is coil with the shock running right through the middle. :-/

You can run a wish bone link setup which is a 3 link an you wont need to relocate it but you will need to raise ot no matter which way u go. On the 89-95 yotas a lot of ppl triangulate the lower control arm to remove the strut rod tht goes to the front. By doing tht it gives you a place to mount the lower shock an you just make a bracket for the top. Also look on streetsource.com for builds

Yeah I might not do the reverse four link, I've been reading a lot of bad thing about it. So back to the front of the truck, can't I just weld a shock mount to the lca then to the frame?

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't go reversed. Everything "they" say is true. ;). Don't bother to talk to any of the guys who actually run them...

And yes, as far as the front shocks are concerned. Just keep in mind your turning radius.

Yeah I saw the quick little search you did awhile ago but he not running front shocks ether.... I do my home work and search everywhere I'm not some little noob I do my research before I start anything but thanks for helping me look around. I guess I'll just do a static drop until I find someone who found a way to put shocks on the front

I have to bagged trucks right now an neither of them are running shocks in the front. My old Mazda an f150 both bagged an no front shocks. The ride is great because of the bags but cud be better with shocks. The shocks will help control the bounce of the bag which gives you a smoother ride. Like I said I'm not running shocks and haven't ever had shocks on the front of my bagged rides an even my buddy said it wasn't a bad ride for not having shocks. To add shocks you can just buy the shock relocation kit from avs, suicidedoors, or store.gaugemagazine, hell even eBay. Then you just weld the bottom part off the side of the control arm an mount the top where u need it an weld tht in
