Yep, the only question I have is whether I need to go with the ARP main stud kit too. I think that for what I want to do, the OEM's will be fine, but while I'm in there.....?

That's what I'm talkin about nice stuff ya got there . Arp main studs are nice but oem is can handle abuse so long as you keep it the abuse in control . So what's the intended boost levels for your project

Don't know, I'll start at 8 psi and go from there. Supposedly it'll handle up to 20 psi with this build, maybe more. I don't think my trans will though, oil cooler is a must. But I don't race or anything, so I'll probably be happy with anything between 8-15 pounds.

8 to 15 will be lots of fun .i saw some decent oil coolers on eBay that friends have on there drifters and 240s small six row coolers with clean look to them for pretty. Cheap think there more for the exposed up front style like old skewl Japanese cars always have

Yep! And while I'm in the engine bay, I need to finish the sheet metal work.
I also need to build my exhaust manifold, I'll post up pics as I go.

Truck Action, I wish. Haven't gotten there yet... My transmission buddy says this A43d was used in a lot of other cars and can handle around 300 hp as long as it stays cool. Right now I just don't want to deal with the swap, but maybe in the future. Since I'm bagged, and don't thrash it, I'm not too worried about that now. I've been kinda spoiled the last few years with the Autos.

Great looking truck. Very well executed on the "stock" appearance. Looks like it could have been built that way. I really like your audio setup as well. The painted interior is a little flashy for my taste but very nice job at any rate. Since it appears your back seat is not used any thoughts on building a new "shelf" to incorporate hidden amps, crossovers, etc while maintaining accessibility and possibly a seat?

i'd appreciate a write up on doing dash LED's too. im lost on how to do most wiring stuff short of butt connectors, positive, negative and ****-loads o electrical tape haha jk but a write up would be majorly appreciated :waytogo:

PS: i hate you and your truck for being so much better than mine =P

    I love haters. ;)

As far as the dash lights, I haven't done them yet, I only did the air gauges. There are bulbs that are drop in for the dash. I'll get to them eventually. I guess I could do a custom lighting job, but haven't spent any energy thinking about that yet.

My goal with this whole build was to create a pickup the way it should have come with a few extra items like the door pods... The paint inside was my attempt to pull the not so factory color in. It in itself is a bit flashy, in a subtle way. I have spent many hours trying to figure out what I could do with the space in the rear of the cab. I haven't made any hard and final decisions though, we'll see what happens when I get there.

Ok, well. All the parts arrived last Tuesday, but I haven't had time to do anything except deliver the pistons to the machine shop for the final cylinder hone.

Last night I had the chance to get my harness started. Still have to install the IAT sensor and reinstall the PLX wideband. The PLX finally came back from warranty... What a PITA.

Ok, it looks like FaceBook is not going to be a suitable pic host for long term posts...

I'll get the pics back up from pages 21 and 22 asap.
